Sandesh Bartlett
wants it all. He has stumbled through black-mamba-infested bush in Southern Africa, hidden under a kitchen table in the middle of a bombing raid and been chased by an elephant when he accidentally took the wrong turn in the Sri Lankan jungle.
Driven by a mad desire for creative output and the need to document and observe, Bartlett is a writer-turned-photographer with an appreciation for ethnographic methods. His debut publication, Of God, Of Man, & Mortal Things, earned him national recognition when it was shortlisted for the State Literature Award.
He is a development policy professional specialising in conservation, rural development, trade & investment, and foreign policy. He lives between the Netherlands and Sri Lanka and often grumbles about the weather.
